Ellen was #1 in Out magazine’s list of the most ‘Influential Gay Men and Women in America’ in their annual Power 50 issue.

There's been a couple of recent articles that are contrary to the reports that say she's not co-hosting. And the AP is reporting that she will appear in a pre-taped segment (click here for that article) so I quess you should set your DVR and hope that she appears on the show.

Update: on a conference call with reporters today executive producer Nigel Lythgoe said that Ellen withdrew from co-hosting due to "personal production pressures".

Access Hollywood just reported that Ellen will not co-host Idol Gives Back contrary to previous reports.
