There's been a couple of recent articles that are contrary to the reports that say she's not co-hosting. And the AP is reporting that she will appear in a pre-taped segment (click here for that article) so I quess you should set your DVR and hope that she appears on the show.

Update: on a conference call with reporters today executive producer Nigel Lythgoe said that Ellen withdrew from co-hosting due to "personal production pressures".

Access Hollywood just reported that Ellen will not co-host Idol Gives Back contrary to previous reports.

Ellen will present Janet Jackson with Vanguard Award from GLAAD on April 26.

“We are also thrilled that Ellen DeGeneres, a former GLAAD Media Award honoree, will present the Vanguard Award to Ms. Jackson. Any time a media legend like Ms. DeGeneres wants to share in our celebration of fair, accurate and inclusive media representation, we are honored to have her.”
